We are back to where we were in 2007. We have done nothing to prepare for higher costs of oil in terms of our use and the cost of food. Food is oil. With a lower dollar, with 17 million unemployed and millions more under employed, food and energy costs are going to hit us even harder this time.
This is why I am pounding away at stories about communities starting to grow their own food locally.
